Well folks, it’s that time of year again when (some of us) rack our brains second guessing trends, saturation levels, pondering the balance between commercial verses creative expression. I wonder, for how many of you, it’s time to dig out a handful of images that offer the best shot at the prestigious “landscape photographer of the year” competition? So who’s going to? Go on; nail your colours to the mast. I will if you do (o:

I wonder if you think this image has a chance, a second take on Dunstanburgh from last year, who knows eh?

Oh yes, two days and counting to the Ingleton falls workshop...still places if anybody’s interested...? www.landscapeinspired.com

Super image, lovely tones and colour, beautiful silky water, and I'm sure viewed large it looks stunning. So yes, I don't see why it doesn't stand a chance. If i was a judge, I'd put it on an initial shortlist at the very least.

Well I think it would have a good chance if I was judging!

I like the low angle, the light, composition and the movement of the water. I have seen many images of this location and, for me, this is one of the best. It's simple but works very well.
