I found this little thrush on Saturday in the garden and tried to look after it but it couldn't eat or fly. It's mother eventually found it and proceeded to remove a big snail from it's shell by banging it on the ground.. It tried to feed the young one with the snail but it was too big for the little ones mouth. It tore it to smaller pieces and eventually fed its young one. All lived happily ever after....I think.

I didn't see the gaping maw at first, great caption showing that Mother's love crosses the species.
We are not alone involving and nurturing our young.

I do like a story with a happy ending Danny.
With my luck the poor little one would have choked
to death if I tried to stuff it full with the snail.
Mind you,I suppose it was not a happy ending for the snail ?
A very depressing shot indeed !!
Mick.

Superb shot Danny. Really hope it's a happy ending. I must admit I didn't notice the little one at first until I read your description. Cathy
