I like both versions here, V2 is less distracting with the background removed, but it looks strange because the foliage has given the birds a green tint to them. For V2 try modifying the white balance on the layer with the birds on it to try to remove the green tint.

Well seen and caught! I agree with 'Carrera_c', I think I prefer version 1 - but I can see a lot of work has gone into version 2.

2 very good shots I like V2 for the blue b/g but agree about the green tint already mentioned
