Feeling Blushed.......Which is pretty well how I'm feeling today after all the accolades given to me on yesterday's image. Not quite sure what I can say really other than thanks to everyone who kindly saw fit to give me their user awards and to Pete for the HC. Once again I've been blown away by everyone's reaction to these wonderful creatures. I've a whole disk load of more specimens to show you, but I'll hold back on them for a little while I think and save them for a rainy day Wink

Having said all that I did say I was going to post an ultra close up of one of these Elephant Hawk Moths in the description of yesterday's post. So I'm afraid that's what you're getting today, just hope you're not getting all too bored. This one was taken in the homemade studio/shed and is a 65 image stack. With hindsight I think I should have gone with about a 100 images as the DOF is a little shallow, but being as the moth was such a big insect I wasn't quite sure what to go with. Never mind I'm sure I'll have another chance soon enough, the main details are there in this composite, so I'll go with it anyway.

If it had been any other type of moth I don't think it would have given me the time, but these moths are so easy to work with, doing a large stack with them is easy. As always, the specimen was returned to the wild unharmed and none the worse for his experience Grin

Thanks again folks for all the kind comments and votes, means a lot to me......Hope you enjoy taking a peep at this one....

Ade

My goodness Mr Osmant that is an extreme close up, such fabulous colours and astonishing detail. It looks like this moth has spent some time in make up before its photoshoot!Wink
