Sorry not been about for the last few days been out as and when I can taking pictures
This was taken today so expect a few more to follow. The wildlife down on the Somerset Levels has at last seemed to have woken up with some wonderful species new to me being captured. I've been after a female Hairy for the last 6 years or so (don't tell the wife though
), but always been a bit late or missed the period.....
As per usual the Hobby's had their fill, today we personally saw 13 in the air at the same time all taking either St Marks Fly or the odd Dragonfly here and there
We did hear reports of up to 30 in the air at the same time being counted at Shapwick.......But my mission has now been accomplished I've finally got my Hairy?! ![]()

Nice one sweetie, shame it's probably Hobby food by now ![]()
Sharp, colourful, detailed - expertly captured, Ade.
Dave
An awesome pin sharp and detailed close up Ade, you are back on form tonight. I thought you must have either been down on the levels again or in the cider houses of Bedminster as you've been very quiet lately!
You may have some competition with regard to taking close ups of bugs, epzer Bunny G will be back soon, I spoke to her the other day and she is coming back to epz, so watch this space, Ed![]()
