Hi Ed, you must have eyes like an hawk to spot this. Your knowledge of butterflies is obviously good, but I'm afraid your knowledge of plants may be a little off. Or I might be wrong here, but I'm sure that the butterfly is sat on a goosebury bush? The giveaway is the goosebury's below. Anyway, does it matter I ask myself, NO! Your image does and it's well taken. I've made some adjustments in Photoshop CS6, by using the new iris blur tool around the butterfly, which I think makes it stand out a little more. I also made adjustments to highlights, shadows, cropping and clarity. I hope you like what I've done, but next time, pick the goosebury's!

A wonderful shot he is so well camoflarged great depth of field and super detail

Can't see the mod but I think you are right it is a nettle a bit to early for goosgogs Tongue Tongue
