Two evening shots taken from the Ponte degli Scalzi looking towards the top end of the Grand Canal, and the Piazzale Roma where the bus station is located. In V1 the Stazione Santa Lucia (railway station) can be seen on the right hand edge. Ferrovia is one of the main stops on the Grand Canal for the vaporetto (waterbus), and these can been seen here alongside the waiting areas, which are like large floating bus shelters. V1 was taken around 8:30 p.m. and V2 about 10 minutes later, with the camera on my Gorillapod resting on the parapet of the bridge, using the self-timer to avoid any camera shake.
V1: 1/2 sec, F8, 24mm, ISO 100
V2: 1 sec, F8, 48mm, ISO 100
+ Gorillapod!
Looks a little better seen large if you have the time.

V1 - everything still apart from that little boat moving through - love that feeling.

Like them both Trev but v2 for the composition!
Regards
Trev.
I like the movement in both - a little touch of surreality even though both are perfectly natural!

Bill
The lights and reflections in V2 are very attractive.

so much to look at and a beautifully taken picture I am going with V2 for the lights but I like both shots, delightful viewing
Splendid shots, subtle low light colours.
I do prefer V1, it just seems to come alive.
