Something I'd wanted to try out for quite a while, spent an evening at a studio up in Stockport giving different lighting techniques a go to recreate some classic 'Film Noir' type images.

Much more difficult than I first thought to get the lighting just right, and could have done with a few more props / time / ideas!

Really enjoyed giving it a go though and something I would like to try again soon, great way of learning about lighting.

Strobist info : Studio light front left with softbox, gridded studio light front right, both triggered with RF-902 triggers.

A great pre-narrative, and an image that works extremely well, superb.

Only twenty-six votes for this wonderful noir image. Let's add another. Very well done - it may have taking a fair deal of setting up and lighting but my goodness it works a treat.
