Fiona Harrison, a soprano who can sing in six languages, performing a medley of songs / dancing from the "Musicals" during one of her acts at Salute To The 40's event recently.
Something new for me this Summer, hand held action type shots, so have I "frozen" the action too much ?
Set camera to Shutter priority at 1000th second.

Nice shot full of action which is good
A bit of movement in the dress would have been nice to see but you still need to keep her face sharp
If you could have kept focus on the face or she was keeping her head pretty much in the same plane
you could have got away with a lot slower maybe even down to 1/60 which would have given movement to the dress
Always worth trying a variety of speeds and apertures and shoot loads.
Once you have your memory card taking photos is a lot cheaper than it was in the good old days of film
don't be afraid to shoot round the subject
Hope the comments help for the future but either way you have a cracking shot here, full of life...excellent
