Portugal is burning. This fire which we could see from our house burned for three days, luckily no villages or houses were affected but today there is news of many more fires in central Portugal and with more serious consequences. I feel for the people who are affected and the firemen fighting these fires in the intense heat we have been having for some weeks.

So many fires this year here in the US also. Sad for the people involved, and very scarey.

Very sad to see, Harriet, we seem to have been lucky here this year, and not had too many fires. Carol
