This motel fire was started(!) at 7am right behind my camper beside a river in France in September. I was parked literally behind this fire engine. All the other camping cars had moved off and although I was closest to the fire nobody had checked to see if I was awake and aware of the danger! Later on I offered my photos to the local paper at La Rochelle but they preferred a shot of a fire engine with a bit of smoke, taken by their staff photographer!!!
