The Eruption at the beginning of April on Fimmvörðuháls, Iceland. I've been going to Iceland for five years to photograph, I couldn't resist another trip when this thing blew, and it was the experience of a lifetime - I stayed on top of the pass for four days, saw Northern Lights above the flickering flames, sat out a ridiculous 48 hour hurricane storm, and was given a snickers bar by James May of the Top Gear team when they found me alone on top of the mountain, when everyone else had retreated down for safety...
