Oh dear, not a happy soldier!
cracking shot Kirk i remeber a day like this well 40 odd years ago and have great sympathy with the young lad
His expression is priceless! One day he'll get married and you'll be able to use this. . . . . . !
I love this photograph, great composition and also I like the hairdresser out of focus.I think it'll work very nice in b&w.
hahah, poor kid! i agree with elsagg, this will look great in mono...
aaaw, what a wee shame! Very cute. I agree with Elsa, would be great in b&w.
This is a great shot, very nice piece of memory. I feel a bit sorry for him here, poor lad! Well done! Sandra
Poor kid, such a sad face. Nice capture!
Oh, poor boy! Great shot though.... Would like to see a B&W version as well!

Excellent shot and one to treasure, very well taken.
Good exposure, reminds me me of the expression on the faces of some of the recruits as they had their first army haircut.
Awh!! Such a brilliant shot to keep for when he's older. His expression says it all!
Thanks to everyone who clicked and for all your wonderful comments - I have never had this much response to a photo before. I will try to post a mono version at a later date - who knows It may even hit the magic 30.
Awww...poor little thing! I remember HATING haircuts as a kid...lol.
I like both the colour & B&W. I think you were half expecting this, having your camera that is, a super capture.
PS. I can remember the experience, I sat on a plank that was put across the armrests
