Took a drive up to Derwentwater for sunrise today........

I think my new camera has a fault.........second time out with it and second time I got no clouds in the Lake District.........I think that its possibly a new gizmo in the settings that removes clouds as well as dust bunnies...but I can't find the switch to turn it off as I prefer clouds..... Wink

A lovely moment in time captured Jeanie, I don't mind that there are no clouds, that early morning light is quite something! Looks so very peaceful!

This has the 'I want to be there' factor! A beautiful image. If your camera can remove clouds then I want one, its been dull, grey, boring and depressing here for what feels like forever. Sad

Thanks Dave, Bill and Charlotte.

Dave the clouds were lurking in South Lakes area - saw them as I drove back home from the M6!!! Even more clouds when I got back to Blackpool though its brightening up now Smile

Charlotte yes - if you take the Borrowdale road from Keswick, watch for the turnoff for Watendlath.. take that turn and immediately after the cattle grid park on the carpark there.. walk back down to the shore and the jetty is there in front of you.. there is a little cut in the wall and steps down Smile

This is an awesome image and the image is kept simple because of the lack of clouds. The jetty acts as a perfect lead in. I think clouds would have added nothing except distraction to a awesome image...John

Nice shot Jeanie - I was there today at Tewet Tarn - all the clouds were over in the direction of Blencathra but by early afternoon they had disappearedSad
Plenty of test shots though (thats what you call shots that aren't quite good enough!)
