A fleeting moment of sunshine yesterday tempted me out for just long enough to get a handful of rather pedestrian shots. I quite liked the background in this one, consisting of hornbeam hedge and conifers, with the light adding some reasonable colour. The Robin(Erithacus rubecula) is perching on a dead ice plant head (Sedum spectabile). I always leave the dead heads in the garden over the winter as the birds love to search for bugs sheltering in them.

Many thanks for your support of my last upload and a special THANK YOU to David(Johnjo58) for his User Award - very much appreciated and valued Smile

Wonderful color and background. I certainly wouldn't call this a pedestrian shot!

Excellent Sylvia. With the light as it is we have to take what we can get, when we can get it.

He could be a visting robin from Scandinavia or elsewhere in Northern Europe, or maybe he's just scared of you and your long lens!Wink
