We made a last minute decision to chance the weather and head to the Black Country Museum on Sunday. With a 4 year old and 7 week old in tow, time for composition was in short supply so not many to follow, but here is one of the chain making demonstration.

If I heard him correctly a chain maker would have been expected to produce about 5 feet of chain an hour at this size.

Thanks for looking.

Neil

A wonderful image. Well captured.
Love the lighting on this. Can almost feel the heat from the fire.
Congratulations on the award.
John.

Sounds like "working on the chain gang" all over again. The fiery glow from his furnace works so well with all the rusty metal, well done.
