Hi all, unlike me to upload on a Monday, but I have SO many Kefalonia images to share with you, so I though I'd sneak a few in at odd times. In Katelios where we stayed, there were Hundreds of Swallows and their Nests where everywhere you looked, including 'inside' one or Two Restaurants. Every Nest had Five young in it and the Mums were kept very busy feeding them, and in some cases trying to coax them out of the Nest saying, "go get your own b----- Food" Smile
Anyway, thanks to all who voted and left fun comments on my 'Bikini Tree', very much appreciated.

All the best to all,

John Smile

Nice set, sir. V2 the most characteristic, John, from what little I know. Must have been noisier than the bikini tree Smile

Three fantastic captures John, no wonder I have seen very little of these beautiful birds, they are all tucked up and enjoying the sunshine in Katelios. "I don't blame them do you?"

The open beaks in V2 pip V1. Wonderful. And set in a very neat architectural composition.
Nice to see that someone thought to paint so carefully round the nest.

They used to nest next door to us (not this family obviously GrinGrinGrin), and, boy, what a mess there was underneath!

Good to see these wild birds donít feel threatened to build their nests and bring up their young so close to people in this area. Lost count of the times some friendly birds have sat at our table enjoying the crusty bread whilst eating outside in the Greek tavernas. Those chicks waiting to be fed in V2 and 3 are not to be missed.

Dave.
