This is a very nice image; interesting and well composed. One detail though...

[/Q] Critique Wanted [/Q].. To me the only niggle is the bellfry left corner and left most windows should be true to the left frame border.

Otherwise the picture seems very good. The sky is plain, but you can't help that much.
Just crop down to barely touch the cross and lessen the bald sky area a little.

I do like the diagonal light beams along the rock work relief. 6:30 ish is a good time for these heavy texture images. Hope you get many small white clouds next time. TG

As you are wishing to highlight the flags, I think you should have set your lens to a shorter FL so that the Italian flag was much further away from the edge. Another option was to set your camera to 'landscape' mode and leave out some of the less interesting flagpoles. Mainly however as suggested earlier ensure the flags are more prominently displayed aroung 1/3 the way down your picture rather than halfway.

Now having done that it is evident that the shadows have caused the flags not to be as prominent as I think you wished, given your title. I have uploaded a mod where I have lightened the shadows and then further lightened the Italian flag using 'levels' selectively.

I straightened the image up a little then cloned out the branches which intruded to the top left. I hoipe you approve.

Frank

The basic problem here is that the flags fail to stand out both due to lighting and the background. You could lighten the flags with the dodge tool, but a different viewpoint would be better. You would struggle to get a sufficiently shallow depth of field.

I much appreciate the comments.

I normally shot in APERTURE or SHUTTER SPEED but as their crows down as SPAIN won I was shooting in auto in case stuff happened right in front me.

Thanks again,

Timothy
