One of a series of photos showing Equestrian Flamenco during the Marbella Spain Feria. The horse's hind legs are mirroring those of the dancer.

Decent image. Cant see her legs! The contrast is a touch high with one or two highlights close to burnt out and a very black horse. Possibly a bit less exposure, then bring the shadows back with the dodge tool. Pity about the bush item, which spoils the composition a bit.

An unusual shot for me.

It does need the highlights toned down, - and that bush removed. I notice the horse could have the shadows lifted to improve its visibility; the socks on the horse are blue rather than white; so with a couple of corrections it can look better, as in the mod.

Hope this helps,

Regards

Willie

I had a big grin on my face when I viewed this, Rob, because I have hundreds of shots like this. I ended up using continuous shooting in order to get the action I wanted, and also the separation, which you have achieved here, except for the dreaded potted plantTongue! You have some nice space between horse and rider, lady dancer and the chair with a shawl over it, and the composition is good.
I read in your portfolio that you don't like doing too much manipulation, but cloning out that potted plant would considerably enhance this image.
You have captured the action nicely, the sweep of the lady's skirt, and the horse dancing with her.
The exposure wasn't easy, and this has been commented on above.
I'd like to have seen more of the peoples' faces, but the horse's face is very nicely in view.
Pamela.

Thank you Pamela for your advice and time, I have cloned out that dreaded potted plant and it looks much better.
