This is a series of 4 high burst consecutive shots taken at Wetlands, Arundel, of a swan landing. Technically I am not happy with the detail on the plumage as it is pretty clipped out. It was a bright sunny day and I was busy photographing something else when I heard a loud flapping of wings and turned to see the swan preparing to land, so I just aimed the camera and panned, pressing the button. Have tried to tweak the plumage detail in PS - perhaps somebody else might be able to improve on it with a mod?
However, I did like the movement and hope you will have a moment to look. The angle of the feet (landing gear!) in V1 and V2 is worth a look.

briliant shot, these are very well timed, v1 is brilliant inflight shot, v2 is perfect timing v3 & 4 are stunners...

These are such difficult shots (having tried and failed miserably) if I had a hat on I'd take it of to you. Well captured, V4 is a super capture.

The moment captured so well, as you say, the wings are a little blown but it still dosen't detract from the superb sequence of shots you have here.
Geoff.
Swans are very tricky to photograph well, exposing is always a problem and this series is excellent. I'm with Geoff...the wings don't detract to any great extent at all. I think we often tend to forget the rapid sequence capabilities so many of us have on our cameras ![]()
