Excellent shot of a superb part of the LakesGrin
A minor point but the image seems to be sloping down very slightly from left to rightWink
A frame maybe but nothing over fancy
But PLEASE do not cannibalise the image by typing all over it irrespective of how small the print is
If you want to include a title fit in the frame

A frame for framing, yes. A frame for online viewing, no. Maybe a keyline or narrow border, but not a frame, and definitely not words. Leave the titling for hanging on the wall.

Nice scene, but many of these begin to look the same without something to make then stand out -strong lighting, weather effects and so on. There does appear to be a slight tilt. Any border should only be a simple narrow black or white line and DEFINITELY no typing on the image. Any title should be on a white border, rarely if ever on the image.

Didn't mean to come across too stronglyTongue but I just hate titles and names on images they are just not necessary on-line
As the guys say titles are for hanging ..... and then very discreetly somewhere in the border
And I tend to agree with the other guys re framing / border
But as to the sloping horizon it's very easy software fix depending what you use
Still a great shot, hope I can match it when I'm up there in September

This has a slight slope to the right which is very pronounced and should be sorted before worrying about frames. As for lettering here in the CG well I do not see the need given the space provided for description, EXIF etc.

Sometimes though a very narrow black line all round helps to make the image stand out as long as it is very narrow and hardly noticeable. The image is very intersting and somewhat appealing but also a little flat, a slight lift could helop along witha bit more space to the top as presently I feel the peak is a little cramped.

EXIF shows an aperture of f4 was used but for such pictures I would use f8 or f11 wherever possible for a number of well documented reasons. Whilst I agree with using the lowest possible ISO rating, you could well raise it to 100 without any noticeable change then f5.6 would become available to you, then changing your shutter speed to 1/150sec will permit the use of f8, that is the way I would go. I hope this has helped.

I will upload a mod with a narrow border which I do hope looks the same as on my monitor. I will also add space to the top and try to bring out some 'punch'.

Frank

Re the mod......like it by and large
Leveling off has certainly improved the image no end
The thin black line does work well just holding the image in without distracting....nice job
The colours seem a lot more garish than the original ....but that could be my screen
