I did at least get the chance to take a couple of shots last weekend.....with a Nikon again!!! but at least I know the image will pay for itself.
Good to meet you all and good to see some excellent work being turned out.
1/25@f18 with a soft Lee ND grad at about 30 degrees left to right.

A Nikon! you know it makes sense Keith. Give Maddie that big brick of yours and take the D200. Like the shot btw.
Jim

Pleased to make you 30 & a deserved RC. Great light on this and the actual overall composition is spot-on. Sylv.

Rune
Just says quality, not over sweet, but a clear, sharp well exposed shot.
Steve
Not bad for a Nik....doh... my keyboard is stuck...
What's this about a new camera?? 21mp??
Patrick
For me slightly overexposed in parts and the grad is very obvious on the upper left cliffs. Compositionally ok but edging too close to safe to be anywhere near your best.
Dan
The local tourist board will love you!!
steve
(21mp? But I just got myself a mammy zd?! oh bottoms!!)
Hmm - nice shot, reminds me that I must pay another visit to Staithes soon.
James
nice grad work. may have to invest in one of them full ones ![]()
Not yer typical Keith shot really - nice enough, but not got the usual p-zaz... but if it's for a job and it did the job, then fair enough.
I dare you, show us the before shot, straight from the camera, no tweaks, no retouching, no changing levels or playing with saturation, just straight from the RAW.
I've found that a really helpful way to see what can be acheived over the last few days that the functions been running, and as you know I love the results you acheive.
So go on...
...Dare you
Jon
What I'm getting at is that those of us without the necessary camera craft could really benefit from seeing what can be acheived straight from the RAW. I think I'll have to invest in one of your weekends to get that though.
I appreciate you loading the RAW on the next shot, it is fascinating.
I'm going to have to rely on PS though for a bit longer.
Thanks again.
Jon
