Visiting friends up north on Vancouver Island, on their small farm after a rain, I managed to capture this fly on the wet leaves. The visual texture of the beaded up water on the very green leaves captivated me, but the fly I think is what makes the photo.

I am afraid that for me it doesn', it is too small to do that Peter. To use the fly as your main subject you would need to be a great deal closer then to emphasise it, place it on a junction of lines of thirds. What you have here is a picture of some leaves on which an incidental fly happened to land.
Your camera appears to have a macro setting so maybe use that in future and dependent upon the settings of the macro you might have a nice shot.
