Whiskey the Barn Owl doing his show thing Smile

Just stabbing in the dark to get these images - prefocus and anticipate where the owl was going to fly.

Such a beautiful bird.

Taken at 220mm, handheld. Slight tweak in PS, but mostly processed in C1LE (3.7).

Definitely best at 1000 pixels!

Techie details:
ISO400, f6.7, 1/750s, 220mm

The Pentax *ist-D has a custom function that stops autofocus on half pressing the shutter. There is a dedicated AF button on the back that you hit with your thumb. This makes prefocus and shoot operations a complete doddle.
