Many thanks for your comments and votes on the alley view. There was nothing spooky about it, you only risked eating and drinking too much. I realise that it was not what I usually do and I was not expecting a big success. Rest assured, I don't mind if you tell why you don't like it!

Still no rain here. Everything is dried to death, the alfalfa now feeds the butterflies. A small copper has found new pastures here in an alfalfa field. Taken during lunch break on Friday.

Back lighting again working so well in your hands, Annette: wonderful detail and colours.
I like how the two b/g tones colour coordinate with the subject and it's perch.
Very nicely done.

You've nailed this one Annette, well done to you......We had some wicked rain storms here in Somerset this afternoon, not that it bothered me any as at the moment I'm confined to barracks so to speak anyway because of health issues and slept through most of it......Well on the mend now though, just got to wait till Tuesday to get a green light from the doctor and hopefully they'll take the straight jacket off and I'll be able to get out and about again.....GrinGrinGrin

Beautiful backlit shot, and ooooooh how I enjoy reading how warm and dry it is where you are as I take my wellingtons off and hang my raincoat up to dry after another walk with the dogs in a downpour. Envious, me? Noooooooooo!
