Oh man…I am just sooo happy with my polarising filter. I’d got one a few weeks ago but only yesterday did I properly play with it.

I knew about it deepening blues in skies and all…but I didn’t know what it does to clouds! Awe. Some.

And so cool the difference it makes when you rotate that ringy thingy on the front.

I know these could do with some processing but I wanted to upload ‘em just to show the amazing difference turning the ring makes. Cool, huh? Grin

Both tripoded, IS off, ISO 200, f11, +1/3EV.

V1 at 1/200sec, V2 at 1/320sec.

This one’s for you, Diane, ‘cos I remembered your reminder to turn off IS Wink

I hope everyone has a good weekend ahead!

Andrew

Don't put the polariser on yourself. It might make you feel a bit blue.

Hey, if you're do some twiddling (I shall refrain), find some blue sky with some cloud. Doesn't have to be major blue and doesn't have to be fancy cloud. Just so you can see the difference clearly. When I twiddled with some pale-ish sky, it was very hard to see any shift.

Had twiddle Andrew....... no sucsess with the bit of sky in the gardenTongueSad..... I need a bigger sky. I dont want to point the camera in the neighbours direction, the neighbours do seem to be hogging the best of the sky at the moment.....they will wonder what I am doing and getting arrested on a Saturday afternoon is not idealTongueTongue
I will try again when the sky is in full bloomGrinGrin
Talking of blooms, I just took Ken's advise and took a pic or two of folaige with the polorizer onGrin, and the diopterGrinGrin

Ok...was waiting to upload before pointing you to a link Ken sent me. I found the bit about the sun's position very interesting 'cos it explains why some shots I took weren't that affected by the filter!

Do your neighbours have shiny faces? I wonder if the polariser will remove the shine Grin

Ooo...how did the pic turn out with the polariser and diopter??
