Splendid capture. What is striking to me is the "horizontalness" of the branches.
The contrast and composition are great, in particular that rogue tree that broke away from the crowd.
"Don't belong to the crowd" said Osho.
Wonderful image, Alan. The strong verticals working so well with the delicate and in places almost etherial horizontal branches, all against the black background, superb processing.
I love it Alan. A truly beautiful image which I'd be happy to live with.Very special.
This is superb, Alan. A bold combination of attenuated vertical subjects with and exaggerated horizontal format. The leaning tree is perfectly placed for the composition; I like the hint of other trees relieving the darkness of the background. Treatment is superb, almost the feel of IR.
Tension between verticals and horizontals - the crop streeeeetches those thin branches wonderfully.
A rather neat illustration of something that was discussed at our last U3A group meeting - landscape format can convey the vertical much better than portrait...
Wonderful treatment here.. Love the light, contrasts, verticals broken by the random horizontal.. Excellent
Blimey!!!! ....Didn't think it would go down that well!!! .....Thanks, you lot!!
Almost XRay like. A very beautiful composition, very bold with strong verticals working superbly against the stark black ground. Imaginative, interesting and so very good Alan.
Cheers Nathan, and thanks loads for the Award!!!
Quote: Lovely abstract
Thanks Jeff. But it isn't an abstract. It's figurative. It's trees.
Hi Alan. The most creative image I've seen for a while, and I've seen some very good things on epz today. Si.
Cheers Si, that's a real compliment
Excellent mono image Alan, one of your best
User Award seriously appreciated, Cliff!
Wow Alan this is magnificent , the feathery branches and dark background are stunning
Like the placement of the single angled tree among the verticals. Very fine mono.
I'll bet that looks even better large.
Nice placement with the 'fallen" tree.
Rod- your Award much appreciated.
