This shot was taken at Anglesey Abbey Cambridgeshire - hand held my tripod was in my car and to go and get it would have mean't that I would miss this chance - the light was perfect

An excellent capture Debbie, with or without a tripod! All my images are hand held, I can't be fussed with carrying extra equipment around with me! Carol

Thanks Carol I totally agree tripods get in the way and I like to get unexpected shots I can't do that if I have to think about my tripod and setting it all up

Well if this is hand held, you have a great steady hand and don't need the tripod, well done. Trish

This is very nice, I like the composition and very good detail in this.
For shots like this I use a monopod, much quicker than using a tripod and cheaper.

Ps: Many thanks for the comments. When you head up this way, just shout and will give you directions to some great spots around the Ullswater area, or anywhere else for that matter within Cumbria.
