An image of four stones.
"Love it, it's brilliant, its fantastic, superb.." The Times 28/01/05.
Only joking ....here's hoping.

Very clever, so simple, so striking.
Simple and effective, Peadar. Love the detail in the stones. Click
simple composition very well don
Nice simplicity and a striking image. Click. Ali.
Beautiful shot and detail.
Well presented and clean shot with good lighting. Sue
Brilliant composition...keep it simple. And by the way, hope's a good thing
Nice idea, I think that the border is a little bit heavy and dominates the simplicity of the stones.
Add a mod with the shadows removed, but did not alter the border as there would have been too few pixels left.
Wouldn't go quite as far as 'brilliant, fantastic and superb', Peadar ;0) But I do like it.
Lol at your discription. It's a super shot!
I like cheryl's mod and suggestion re the border.
Thanks everyone, like the idea of the mod but the edges are a bit obvious. Prefer the shadow myself but its obviously down to taste.
Ok, you got me; I do not know how to comment on stones! , So, I will comment on the photo, I like the detail, I can clearly see the perforations in the stones. The color is crisp and not overpowering, and I also agree with you, I think the shadows help to add definition/depth! The frame works to highlight your subject, so I like it! Spot On! Click!!! Just remember I am more of an animal and person type viewer. So I could be way off on this, but for its photo qualities, all the elements are there!
You've done a good job here. Quality work.
no need for mod
Nicely balanced arrangement
Simply well presented!! Ilike it. Well taken.
Like this. Prefer with the shdows than the mod version.
Like Greg, "I no nawthin'" on pics like these. For me though, the shadows are cool, the borders fine but there is a blur between the white and black border that annoys me.
The top right stone looks like it might make a fab abstract rough sea scene from here ( probably the vino !) .
Superb shot! It caught my attention as I'm collecting this type of stones to use as door knobs on my kitchen units.
Very original, nice stones.
