Don't know if he's smiling or grimacing but he's been lurking around the garden for the last couple of weeks. Looking for food I suppose. I wonder if it was him that took the pigeon and left my lawn covered in feathers. He's not mangey at all so he's getting some good food from somewhere. Smile

Happy Sunday everyone.
Chris

We never see the foxes that live around us--- but we often see bits of feathers, etc.... did not occur to me that it was foxes-- I was thinking hawks-- or stray cats!
He does look rather un happy!

I'm sure he's welcome to the pigeons and if you run out he can have some of mine! A great shot, Chris, and he does look good.

Super image. The poor lad is having the toughest time of the year right now. His mate cubs around Christmas and he has to do all the hunting and foraging for them all whilst being left outside the den to sleep in the cold. No wonder he's a bit mangey. (I'm a bit soft on them and leave suitable feed on waste ground near us to help them out).

Well captured. He looks so sneaky, but as you say, appears well fed. Always great to have wildlife come into the garden.

He looks like he just caught and ate a hen from the chicken coup Wink It looks like a grin to me. He has a beautiful coat - gorgeous animal. Hope you have many more occasions to "capture"him.

What a brilliant capture! And it does look well fed. Maybe it scoffed the cat on the hot tin roof a few houses down.

Was just about to vote on your Chev image when I saw this. Wonderful. I live in a rural area so we never see foxes in the town - but up in Edinburgh they have become very urban, bold as brass, and there are loads of them.

Regards.

He's giving the camera a sly wink, superbly captured. I have a big red fox who visits my garden most nights but I haven't managed to catch him on camera yet
