Don't know if he's smiling or grimacing but he's been lurking around the garden for the last couple of weeks. Looking for food I suppose. I wonder if it was him that took the pigeon and left my lawn covered in feathers. He's not mangey at all so he's getting some good food from somewhere. ![]()

Super image. The poor lad is having the toughest time of the year right now. His mate cubs around Christmas and he has to do all the hunting and foraging for them all whilst being left outside the den to sleep in the cold. No wonder he's a bit mangey. (I'm a bit soft on them and leave suitable feed on waste ground near us to help them out).
He's giving the camera a sly wink, superbly captured. I have a big red fox who visits my garden most nights but I haven't managed to catch him on camera yet
