I couldn't think of anything original to call this. It was taken a week ago at an open garden event but has had a little texture applied - hopefully not too much? Comments and criticisms are welcome - and thanks for looking.
Oh,I don't think we need fancy titles for our images Ann !!
A fine shot here.
Although I would have called it,
''A Herbacious Perenial Study In Lavender''
But that is just me !!
Wonderful details Ann,love the back ground,well done..Lin
The texture is just right Ann, so far foxgloves have defeated me. This image is a beauty.
A fine presentation of this beautiful foxglove, Ann, superb colour and detail. Carol
I like Mick's idea, and so have come up with "spike of finger-like flowers of the biennial herbaceous digitalis purpurea shrub", but seriously, I like the detail you have captured, rather than the whole flower, showing some closed and some open fingers with the pretty spotting inside.
"digital Digitalis" - and I agree with Carole, taken loads and given up!! Like the texture, Ann, and the matt tones.
Superb capture of a notoriously difficult flower to capture-- Good choices made here!
A really attractive composition. "Lady's Glove"?
beautiful detail ann wonderful colour and tones love the textured bg a cracker nice one
Excellent. I find these very difficult flowers to photograph, they're so regular.
I'm seeing a lot more interest in them here.
Wonderful!! Is that a touch of backlighting I can see around the stem?

I think so... the smallest amount.
This is an excellent image in every way except one. Composition.
It, like so many images, is dead center. That speaks of 'document' rather than art. Leaning against the left frame may be .. will be better. With a slight left lean is ok too.
Also, diagonal, corner to corner can sometimes work.
Everybody loves you Foxglove just as is, so rest assured it's good. I just can't resist your invitation to comment critique-wise. TG
just love Mikbee's comment ....
such a pretty colour especially the interior. I would also line to see the full bloom
You'll soon be an expert in lightroom and a few other software bundles, a soft but pleasant subdued image Ann, it would make a nice image on a Birthday Card. That's a compliment not a criticism.
"Bell's afore ye go".
Lovely close up.. I like the "pyramid" arrangement .. ( heavier at bottom than top)
Great details of this very photogenic flower
Your texturing is so appropriate to the subject which you have captured so well, Ann. The foxgloves are such lovely flowers to capture but challenging in so many ways.
You have got a fine image here though.
Lovely image Ann.
One of my favourite flowers - unusual I think to see so many of the blooms closed. One or two of them even appear to have slight indigestion
I rather like the effect, it's gentle and rather sweet. And the discreet rim-lighting is a treat.
I collected some fine weather for you yesterday but it escaped overnight
Stunning shot Ann, fabulous colours and beautifully captured.
A nicely worked image Ann, and we have one just like this in our Garden, but it was supposed to have been White
Beautiful shot Ann, excellent colour and stunning detail.
Such a great softness here Ann
Lovely processing Ann and the way you have framed the image drawing the viewer towards the light catching the stems "hairs" is very clever.
Great close-up with a very nice background.

Not an easy flower to photograph but you've done really well here and presented it so superbly. The textured background works well
Brilliantly simple...if that makes sense...
Beautiful and lovely image indeed, very well done,
Very well done indeed Ann
Great pov on this delightful shot.
well processed and a lovely crop from new to fully open.
A very nice macro..
Nice colours and nice detail...
Quote: It's me!
Hello! Well, where's me vote then?!!
Often the part is better than the whole and you have just demonstrated that here.
A very lovely flower, and you've gotten the best part.
Shapes, forms and colors are marvelous Ann. Deep
Ohhh...wonderful shot and image, Ann
Oooer ?....missed this beauty !!!!.......lovely colours & clarity !!!
