If you ever left me,
What freedom would be mine!
Freedom to be alone,
And miss you all the time

Freedom to listen to
The things you havent said,
Freedom not to cuddle you,
In our empty bed.

Freedom to drink
From dusk til dawn,
Freedom to smoke
Around our home,
Freedom to wonder
How my life can last,
Freedom to ponder
The whisky in my glass.

If you ever left me,
What freedom Id endure.
I know Id live with misery,
And sorrow at my door.

Sorry it's a bit mushy! I started thinking along a theme and this is where it lead! Scarey! I was glad to put my ring back on afterwards.

Hope you endure it. View LARGE
C and C always welcome,

Cheers,
Simon

It does make you think about the human condition in general, and depression specifically. Well done.

I really do like this.
The lighting sets off the mood perfectly.

Excellent use of what I assume is natural light. Composition is also very good like this shot a lot.

Hi all and thanks for the comments.
Sorry, I meant to post some details with this. Yes Mick, it was natural light. The exposure was 4 seconds at f/22: iso 400. The 'whisky' was cold tea - HONESTLY!
Patrick, yes, depression - that's sort of what it was all about!

Cheers all,
Simon

PS. I feel I should point out that this was a set-up shot. It doesn't mean this is actually happening - it's more of a 'What if. . . .' Afterall, we all like a happy ending don't we?

Full of mood and drama. The highlights at the top of the pic are a slight distraction, but still well worth a click.
