I was lucky enough to be at the opening of the Commonwealth Games. An excellent evening - if un-Glasgow tropical.

This was taken late in the proceedings and is of a South African singer performing in Scots dialect, to honour the fact that Glasgow was the first city to recognise Nelson Mandela and by awarding the jailed leader with the freedom of the city.

I warn you - there will be more!

Photo image depicts a massive scale. Seems unusual and very absorbing. High ISO and slow speed seems just right for this. Well done. TG
