These three images are for Kate {Irishkate} whom I had the pleasure of meeting yesterday when she visited the Burrell Collection in Pollok Country Park, Glasgow.
Kate is the the first fellow EPZ member that I have met and hopefully these images (taken yesterday) will remind her of her visit.
V !: The reconstructed Dining Room from Hutton Castle, Sir William Burrell's home at Berwick on Tweed.
V 2: European stained glass (15th. Cent. or later) of parrot.
V 3: Lithograph ...... "Potato Gatherers" (c. 1855) by Jean Francois Millet. An exhibition of his work is currently on display at the Burrell.
My thanks to all who commented on Dipsacus Fullonum........your attention is much appreciated.
Ronnie.
PS. EXIF data refers to V 1 only.......R.

Three excellent captures Ronnie but V1 shows what craftsmen we had! The table and chairs will last for ever, not like the rubbish produced today, V1 for me.
Regards
Trev.
Ronnie thank you so much dedicating these images to me.
It was a pleasure to meet you so briefly - surprised you haven't met anyone else
since you have such a 'fan base'. I detected a certain shyness.
Anyway these images are wonderful and I didn't see these today.
We saw a drawing room but not the dining room.
The stain glassed window is very beautiful - I must get back to see that.
I love the Millet - coming from a farming background and the land of 'tatties'.
I hope these images will encourage people to visit The Burrell and Pollock House.
Hope you've taken some more today, as there's obviously a lot to see.

Not "Made In China"........V1 is the one for me..........I can imagine me at one end of the table and the hublet at the other.........."pass the salt dear"..............![]()

The lighting on all is very good, exposer excellent, the detail is outstanding, all that and your skill makes this a good series of shots.
John
steady mitt here Ronnie 1.3 second shot, but it has to be as the lighting in that room is pretty grim the shutter speed the steady mitt and the wee Sony have handled the situation very well V1 first the litho 2nd and the parrot 3rd for me today.

That's one more than I, Ronnie
. A lovely angle on v1 and well exposed to show lots of detail... including the smoke alarm
- you'd think they'd disguise it somehow. v2 doesn't look like a stained glass at all. I like the artwork in v3 as well, although it does remind me I've got a few rows to dig up myself.
Dave
Love the light across the whole room Ronnie, the wooden tabletop looks grand with the touch of artificial light and the chair legs look good with the daylight.
The tat tie howkers are tremendous in the drawing, wish it was mine.
Dougie
On first glance at V1 Ronnie, I thought that the table was
going to be set up for a meal, and was going to ask you 'what time'?
Always good to meet other EPZ folk as they have the same interests
and you certainly have shown three wonderful images today
Lillian
most impressed with v1, a tricky situation regarding light and refelction very well mastered. great tones and perfect POV.
Some wonderful Woodwork Ronnie, a lovely Room very well Photographed.

I guess that is what spending hours infront of your pc day in day out does to you, one only has to look at messeurs Durbin and Osmant and my point is proved!![]()
