I know this is a subject that's been done to death, but this one's personal. Some people may find the heavy blackness around the edges a bit much, bit I really wanted to concentrate attention on the contrast between the gnarly old hands and the delicacy of the newborn feet.

i find the "heavy blackness" as you put it does focus your attention of the feet and hands

Would you let the viewers know whose newborn it is, your own, family, friend?

Great contrast!

Thank you Doerthe - the newborn feet belong to my great-niece, and the hands to my father. So it's a great-grandaughter/great-grandfather relationship Smile
And thank you everyone else for the kind comments - it's always hard when it's a personal image, as feelings towards it tend to get a bit biased!
