More from Finland and a glorious dawn light. In December it never gets much brighter and only lasts 4/5 hours. Incredibly silent and empty is the Taiga forest of N/W Finland.

A challenge for the less dedicated photographer, but not for you my friend. The cold hanging in the air is palpable here. Seeps in through the slightest chink in our thermal armour.

More trolsk trees - beautiful light (what there is of it). That kind of silence can envelop you - many years ago, we could walk far into the forest near my apartment in Norway, and everything would go still, it was beautiful.
