Still stuck in Scotland (no offence to Scotland, If I have to be stuck anywhere, who could argue with the scenery there!)

This looks a little too blue to me, so I've produced a mod. in which I've adjusted the white balance and made a few tweaks to the warmth and tone using Lightroom.
You might think I've got carried away and I've clearly changed what I think you set out to achieve but I just felt it needed warming up a bit!
Hope it's OK.
Hi Bren, thanks for taking the time to post a mod. It is at the other end of what I was trying for, but it works so very well. I had thought of emphasizing the coldness and didn't think of think of that. I am really glad I joined epz as it's clear that so many are willing to give their time and advice that here must be one of the best learning resources online. Many thanks. Will have to get a copy of Lightroom, as it seems to be a fairly essential bit of software.
Kindest regards, Paul.
Both work, but both are very different. I don't mind the original at all - blue means cold - and cold it is. Possibly just a little more tone in the sky? Just bought myself a set of neutral grads - must get round to trying them.
Its a nice shot overall Paul. I would suggest changing the composition to show a lot less foreground by cropping space from the bottom.
I loaded 2 mods.
Mod1 is not warmed, - I would consider this in my mind to be fairly accurate, as I have taken the foreground show and made it tonally neutral, which slightly warmed the shot.
Mod2 is mod1 with a cooling filter applied at the default opacity in Photoshop.
Both can work depending on the mood you are after, - but I would go with a crop.
Hope this helps,
Cheers Guys, many thanks. Will try all in PS as the learning process continues, just playing around with Adobe Lighroom at the mo!!!, not overly user friendly I think? But give it a couple of days and no doubt I'll be the biggest fan!
LR is user hostile in fact. Its worth spending a little time reading any tutorials you can get, - its completely non-intuitive until you get what the design intent is - then it clicks into place. I avoided it like the plague for a long time.
