Not sure whether I have achieved what I wanted to with this one, I will be interested in your thoughts. Thanks, Rich.

This is a rather lovely scene that I rather like as-is. The composition is very good; it might have been better with the entire canal bend in view, but there is no way of telling; it is a very minor point of no real account. There is a gentle warmth on the buildings which I presume emanates from their construction rather than sunlight.
Some of the warm tone has permeated the ice on the towpath and on the canal, which I can't easily explain. So I have attempted a b&w conversion which to me feels rather more frozen, to suit your title; I hope you like it!
Bill
Edit: Have just met your versions, which suggest that the warmth on the ice was added later! No matter - I'll leave the comment and post the mod anyhow! I see the canal corner wasn't clipped in the original; I worked on V1.
Thanks Bill, I saved as much of the canal corner as I could whilst getting rid of the distracting branch's on the left which I couldn't clone out without making a mess. I added the warmth to try and drag some life into such poor lighting. Your comments, advice and modification are appreciated. Cheers, Rich.
