We had bright sunshine with icy, gale force winds last week when I took this set and I realised that if I didn't get out and capture it in spite of the conditions, all the cherry blossom would be gone from this, my favourite cherry tree, for this year. So off I went, wrapped up in several windproof layers and got what I could of the blossom and the tree, both of which were dancing around like a Whirling Dervish! Shutter speed priority comes in very handy in conditions like this!
I was right to go out and capture this when I did because on the next day it was a very sorry sight and now is almost bereft of blossom. The pink cherry blossom is just coming out on the other, much less attractive trees so maybe I might capture something of them.
15 shots as usual and again as usual V1 is not my favourite but the one that makes the best thumbnail. I will leave you to guess which one is my favourite, and to choose your own if you have one. Thanks for looking and I hope that you enjoy at least some of them.
This will be my last post until next Wednesday when I will be posting something that is part of a very exciting project so watch this space. After that nothing for several weeks as we are off to Spain for a fortnight - whoopee!
