Currently up to my elbows in paint and polyfilla so I thought I'd take a break with a cup of tea to upload a photo from last weekend.
Dumfries and Galloway Forest Park is the UK's only Dark Sky Park and you can see why in this shot, which, despite a little light pollution from Gatehouse of Fleet and the A75, the Milky Way is still visible. This is the first time I've tried a shot like this, 3 mine with a large torch used to paint the beach and the foreground rocks. Otherwise I couldn't see a thing.
I'm quite pleased with my first effort but there's room for improvement and more of these will be coming next year.
Thanks for looking.
