Another one of my favourite shots that I got whilst visiting Bass Rock.
This was taken on the boat returning to harbour, during the 'chumming' process whereby a crew member throws scraps of fish over the side of the boat whilst the skipper drives the boat around in circles, and meanwhile massess of gulls and many gannets form a cloud around the boat diving for the scraps.
It's a hectic sequence, one that can make you slightly sea-sick as my good friend found out, but amazing to witness and spectacular for photography.
Although there is plentiful action to be had there, it isn't easy capturing it as it happens so quickly and randomly sometimes you struggle to decide where to aim the camera!
