Thank you to everybody who voted for/commented on my recent Panorama Isle of Harris image.

As the weather is pretty miserable here in Scotland, I have been spending my time going through files and have been trying to sort out my pictures.....quite tedious after a time, but on going through the gannet photos I took on a recent trip to Bass Rock, found a few which I hope are worthy of comment (good or bad!),

Thanks for your time, Ann.

This one is definitely worthy of being viewed and commented on, Ann: a superb side portrait of the gannet, the detail excellent, right down to the small water droplets.
Weather in Glasgow dreich and drizzly and rather depressing and I too intend to spend some time going over old files.
Ronnie.

I should have perhaps pointed out that the "fluffy" bits on the bird's beak, which might be mistaken for marks, are in fact feathers.....it had just been preening itself. Thanks for all the encouraging comments. Ann.

They always look grumpy so they're not out of place in Scotland.

Fantastic close up Ann.
I expect this was one of your winning images.
I came across a gannet on a beach near Dornoch
and got quite close but think it was injured.
