Meet.... Sammy Slug on his Attack of the Sunflowers....

I arrived home tonight to find slug army having a full battle in my garden.... Ive never photographed one before but was so annoyed to find this mollusk munching away I decided to 'get evidence' then I was so fascinated by the light reflecting on the slime I lost my focus on its 'tail' haha.... anyway this is purely for fun as Josh didn't think I'd dare upload such a slimy creature... or as he said.... 'awww mum gross, ppl will look and shudder'!!!! ... sorry and my planned upload of a lovely butterfly will grace your screen shortly Smile

Thank you for the lovely response on my bee picture... my knee seems less painful now and a special thank you to MickR for the award... a very pleasant surprise Smile

This is a fantastic shot with such interesting detail of the creature and slime trail. It's markings are quite beautiful. I'm in shock that a 'boy' would think this yukky and not fascinating.

An excellent picture of something I hate sooooo much! Why do they eat through the stems of beautiful plants instead of the leaves?

I know what you mean when you say they were munching away on your flowers...
I gave up the fight years ago, as we have too many of these, but they always make a good motif for shooting. Looked at closely, they are not as ugly as they are supposed to be!
Nice shot,
Johanna

A superbly detailed close up of this slimy slug slithering up that sunflower. I'm sure my green fingered friend Graceland will love this one!
