Taken yesterday in the Royal Forest of Dean, this lovely Garganey drake was very busy feeding in the weeds spending more time with his head under the water than not and constantly moving making it difficult to get a decent shot of him. The light was constantly changing, one moment bright sunlight and the next not so good, I’m sure you have all been there.
Lovely creatures and not often seen in these parts I’m told, the female was even less cooperative than her “husband” preferring to stay out a little too far to get sharp images amongst the weeds.
