Nick and I have not managed to capture many butterflies this year. In this image one of the antennae was over one eye, but it was the best angle I could do without landing in the brambles! Not brilliant but at least a record of the week of sunshineSmile

A big thank you to Barbara, Carol, Julia and Ann for your User Awards on The Bride and to everyone else who took the time to comment and vote. Your support is much appreciated.

Best wishes
Carole

Well, looks good to me, Carole, a very nice capture Wink Other than visiting the butterfly house in Tropical World in Leeds, I've seen very few about this year. Think they've all gone to somewhere warmer for their hols! Smile

To my mind the composition is perfect and the butterfly is sharp where it needs to be.

Love the sunlight lighting your butterfly and the branch/stem.
Light stem is good contrast for browns of the butterfly.

I still have not seen any butterflies in my garden this year Carole.
Reckon I must have upset them or something.
I can understand not seeing any sheep or Morris Dancers in my garden
as I always slate them off when I see them on the site here,
but I honestly have said nothing untoward to upset the little butterflies !!
Good shot.
Mick.
