After a crazy 10 minutes or so waiting for these very 'flitty' two 'Gatekeepers to settle, I managed to get about 4 shots of 'em, before they
were off again.......I don't know how people have got the patience for much of this, after some 15 minutes I gave up......at least I was pleased
with what I had got, 'cos they're beautiful little creatures !
This little patch of Ragwort was alive with bees & hoverflies, & one little 'Blue' butterfly that refused to settle, which was frustrating..................
Many thanks for all your lovely comments & votes for 'Summers Yield'........I had high hopes for it, & you didn't loose me down.....Ta, muchly !!!!
Something along similar lines appearing soon ??????
Cheers all....Nn.

John.

mike
They do like this flower I've noticed but never managed to capture the great detail here, nice find and worth the wait.
Dougie
Well you did do well.
The two have posed perfectly, head on and
side view.
Lovely sharp capture and the tones of orangey-brown
and yellow look so well together.
I know what you mean re. the patience..
I've taken 100's of Red Admiral shots in the
last few days trying to get a worthy one !
B.
Well done with this pair- beautiful colours and clarity ![]()

Thanks everyone for the favourable feedback.....glad you like it !
I'm slowly getting to grips with close-up/macro shots.....but getting good shots of butterflies is so frustrating, when they're so timid, & almost guaranteed to fly off
just as I get the blighters in focus, so lots of rejects........good fun though !....& at my age I need every bit of that I can get !.![]()

A brilliant double capture, I like the colours and composition very much. These small butterflies are not the easiest to photograph, particularly with open wings
