Been messing around trying to create some mono images
for Camera Club entries.
This started out as a Red Gerbera -was going to upload the original
but I turned into a PNG file and now it won't open in Photoshop.
Any idea how I can open PNG files without downloading yet another programme?
Many thanks for votes and kind comments on Honesty.
Kate

Not keen on this one Kate, too many elements in one capture, square bricks, is that a round tray! Not sure, then the flower, just not sure what you are aiming for.

Trev.

Truthfully I was not sure about this one Kate. However, the more I look, the more I see. The texture and detail of the flower and stem have not been lost in the processing which is excellent and the centre of the ring has the effect of magnifying the background and so blurs the bricks. It is well thought out and created. Sorry I cannot help you with PNG files.

I am rather fascinated about this piece, for reasons I am not entirely sure. In many ways it reminds me of a cross between "Laura Ashley' and 'Banksy'

Kate, love it. Strong subject and evidence of a number of post processing techniques, layer masks etc. For me the only element that detracts is the flowers stem. I think it is too strong and bold. Maybe either reduce the illuminosity or stop the stem from leaving the oval frame. Regards

Good mono, would also look good without the bricks, only the oval floating on a white BG

What Mikbee said, I'd have preferred to have seen this beautiful flower in glorious colour, a good attempt and good on you for trying something different though
