Tired of clicking to see a large version? Upgrade to e2 to browse all photos automatically at their largest size. And so the battle began...Have been seeing up to five GSW at one time really fighting for the peanuts
that I am replenishing TWICE a day!!
This set of three...winner in V3 was taken from the open bedroom window again
and are for reference as not up to par...but I like what I have been witnessing
at least every 10 to 15 minutes of the day, as there are so many of them and they battle it out also with the other birds but have found that the Nuthatch has become very brave![]()
Thank you Lianne for the user award for 'You're looking tasty'...the Puma
I was extrmely proud to recieve it. Also thanks to you all for the C&C's
Hope that you like these and the fun in them Can you find the beak in V2?
Added a V4 as thought you deserved to see a better timed shot ![]()

Brilliant set of images, Lillian well captured..Lin
Thank You all for such wonderful comments, Yes, Keith there are three pairs around us,
that my friend and I have watched and now I am soooo enjoying the pleasure of their visits, lucky to be in the countryside
and know it.
but until this year have not realised that they even fight with their parents for the food![]()
Moira, adoption accepted..come on down, bring your camera.
Thank you all for taking an interest
Lillian
Not one but two, you are so lucky. Great set.
Steve.
So enjoyed your images. We have at least 3 pairs dining here too! No prisoners taken in general, though I notice they do seem to allow the occasional Blue or Great Tit to eat from the opposite side of the feeders. Wish I had the right kind of lens to capture the antics of one visiting Woody who insists on sticking the peanuts into the new trellis before devouring the nut. So good to know our trellis gets the nod of approval!
Ann
Four super shots Lillian, but the action in V2 is my favourite. Hope the peanut replenishment doesn't bankrupt you!
Something different from the norm Lillian, excellent captures,
Adrian
Great shots of nature at work here Lillian. And by the looks of that Bird feeder, none of them have had much luck at the time of shooting.

superb set, not seen mine recently but we do have millions of starling its unbelievable all fighting either for the fat blocks or the bird bath and I have 2 other various small receptacles they seem to prefer
