This is a triptych of the Strokkur geysir errupting in the Haukadalur region of Iceland. This was really cool to see in real life and surprisingly it happened pretty often - every 5 minutes or so. Strokkur's bigger brother, Great Geysir does not errupt nearly so often although when it does the water stream reaches far higher. Unfortunately Great Geysir didn't erupt when we were there although I couldn't say I was expecting it to!
