I do very few images of people and when I do I am less than confident on what I want and what works and what doesn't, so would welcome some critique on this one. Some detail. The image was informal, there was no lighting used of any kind. The aim was to take an image that looked natural and relaxed.

The final piece of info is the young model is my daughter and she hates getting her photo taken!!

Delightful looking child. You have got most of the elements right here. However your daughter needs to be separated more from the background. The skin tone looks a bit on the 'cool' side.

I've uploaded a mod, which attempts to address these issues, for you to consider.

Thanks for the comments, I appreciate it greatly. I agree the mod does give the image more depth and improves the skin tones considerably.
